We have installed a new Rate/Ping Watcher plugin on the GunGame server. It will warn users who have invalid rates settings. It also sets them on Fire! If you see someone burning, tell them to read their screen (instructions provided) or for the truly dense, direct them to THIS TUTORIAL. You can also just tell them to search for 'rates' in the forum.

Would it be possible to set the RateWatcher to accept cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate set at 101?

Casey's Config v1 and v2 are pretty popular and have cmdrate and updaterate at 101.  I've noticed that quite a few of us use it, and it always says to be between 66-100.

101 is a wives tale-does no good, its like wishful thinking
Why not use 102?
I think it should set you on fire as well
66-100  whats the problem
FIX IT

its plain as day what the rates need to be, until they are changed, follow the rules
i understand wanting to change the rules
i just don't get why ppl refuse to do so until that happens
i think its irresponsible to tell others to fix their rates when M2 names are popping up on the screen as well

I'm just saying, that Casey's Config is a very popular config and there are tons of players using it.   Why not just let it allow the 101 rather than having that large amount of players go through the trouble to change them?  It would only make it easier for those that aren't regulars to the server.

It's already been changed.  It's nice not seeing those reminders all the time.

I needed to change SV_ (server) cvars. I wasn't sure what effect it would have. The rate checker simply compares what is set in the server and what the client (CL_) has set. I changed it to 101. It will have to go back to 100 if it causes problems. 101, while very common, is not the same as 100. If they changed it to 101, they can easily change it to 100.
